CORRONA's mission is to advance rheumatology research and improve the quality of rheumatology patient care. CORRONA is an independent registry without any ownership links to the pharmaceutical industry.

Question: How has CORRONA contributed to advancing the science of rheumatology?
Answer: CORRONA works with some leading investigators, epidemiologists, and bio-statistical consultants to produce timely reports on the science of our discipline. Our interests are in the potential toxicities of the agents used to treat RA and Psoriatic Arthritis. We have active research investigations in the areas of cardiovascular disease, infections and malignancy. In addition we are developing programs to examine comparative effectiveness of different biologic drugs used in to treat these diseases. CORRONA is developing programs to look at biomarkers of disease, genomics and genetics, and their relation to response to drugs, and side effects as well as clinical behaviors.

Question: How does CORRONA get funds for its operation?
Answer: CORRONA allows the pharmaceutical industry to pose queries to the database for a fee. We then supply them with the answers to their queries on de-identified data.  

Question: Does CORRONA release data to its clients?
Answer: CORRONA never releases data to our clients. Specific questions are asked against the data on behalf of our clients by CORRONA with the assistance of industry leading epidemiologists and bio-statisticians.
